About us
The Secondary School in Jednorożec (the original Polish name is Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Jednorożcu) is a public secondary school that was established on 1 September 1998 on the initiative of the mayor of the commune in Jednorożec Ireneusz Goś and Zygmunt Smoliński, the school principal at that time.

In 2002 the first prom (in January) and the school-leaving exam ("Matura") was taken.
Since 2002 six hundred seventy students have graduated from the Secondary School in Jednorożec.
In September 2018 the school community and the invited guests celebrated the school's 20th anniversary. It was also the time when the 3-year vocational school (the 1st stage) was established.
Mr Wojciech Walędziak was its first principal.
In September 2019 the two schools were combined into one Zespół Szkół Powiatowych w Jednorożcu and Artur Grzegorz Piotrak became the first principal.
On 1 September 2021, the mayor of the commune Krzysztof Andrzej Iwulski decided to establish one school called Zespół Placówek Oświatowych w Jednorożcu.
Since then Mr Artur Grzegorz Piotrak has been its main principal and there have been four vice principals: Bogda Marzena Biraga, Alina Gołębiowska, Joanna Pochoda, Małgorzata Kardaś - Wcisło.
Now the school consists of:
- The Kindergarten (orig. Przedszkole Samorządowe w Jednorożcu)
- The Primary School (orig. Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Adama Chętnika w Jednorożcu) - students at the age of 7-15 (8-year)
- The Secondary School in Jednorożec - students aged 15-19 (4-year)
- 3-year Vacational School (1st Stage)
